Englewood varsity football takes on the Alameda Pirates Friday night (11/20/2020) at 7 pm.

Englewood and Alameda compete each year to take home the Pirate cup. Both teams use the Pirate as a mascot.

It is the annual Pirates versus Pirates game that pits the teams against each other for the rights to take home the coveted Pirate Cup, also known as the “Battle of the Pirates.”

The Battle of the Pirates has taken place for several years.

Englewood won the game 53-0.
