HOST 1:Hello, and welcome to the 2025 2026 PirateTV Announcements at Englewood High School. We are excited to share the weekly news, sports, and activities with you. I’m Juliet Arana
HOST 2: And I’m Abby Williams. Each week, at the start of Seminar, we will share the information you need to get through the week, including class information and sports schedules. Let’s get started.
Host 1: There is Free mental health support for Colorado youth. You can start with our EHS counselors or reach out through the I Matter Colorado program. All youth ages 18 and under can receive six free, confidential therapy sessions. The website is I Matter Colorado dot org.
Host 2: Take a look at the back of your ID. The mental health information there is part of a state House Bill called 22-1052.
Host 1: It says that the state of Colorado’s Behavioral Health Administration is required to share awareness and educational materials related to crisis services to all schools, both public and private, in Colorado.
Host 2: The act also requires each student identification card issued to a public school student to contain the phone number, website, and contact information for the 988 Colorado Mental Health Line and Safe2Tell information. You may not have the 988 number on your ID if you took your photo after the official registration day. Colorado is one of just five states where telecommunications fees are used to fund 988.
HOST 1:
Part of keeping everyone safe means knowing who belongs here. So, all students are required to wear their school ID at all times while on campus.
HOST 2:
Replacement IDs are available in the main office for just $5. Lanyards are free of charge! Finally, keep your ID visible.
Host 1: Seminar is a graded class! You will get a lot of great information about job opportunities, learn resume strategies, and keep track of your grades. Don’t skip it!
Host 2:There are rules when it comes to who can go to Homecoming or any other dance this year. You must have an attendance rate of 75-percent or above for the current semester. Attendance will be reviewed one week prior to the dance. If you have an attendance rate of 95-percent or higher, you get into the dance for free.
HOST 1: Englewood students will be heading to Japan in Summer 2027. You can experience different cultures and gain lifelong skills like independence and confidence. Mr Cain will be sharing all the details at an informational meeting on September 10, 5:00 PM in The Venue at EHS.
Host 2: Lots of school-based clubs are beginning over the next few weeks. You can join by speaking to the club advisers.
HOST 1: Our sports teams are in action this week, including our first home football game this Friday. Soccer, softball, volleyball, and cross country are also in action. As a reminder, if you want to go to the games, you need to have your ID to get in free. That is… NO PICTURE OF YOUR ID ON YOUR PHONE, and game workers will not look you up in IC. You need to bring you ID to the event.
