Varsity girls played the first half and JV took over after the half. This was a chance to practice against a strong team ahead of games that count during the season. Alameda has been a tough opponent and is a 4A school, so Englewood players wouldn’t normally have a chance to go up against a team from such a large school.

“It was a good experience, we got to play different positions throughout the game so we learned where we worked best as a team,” Chelsea Carter (11) said.  “It was some of the girls first time every playing so it was rough but they are getting the hang of it.”

“We like to communicate and tell each other how to get better.” She says good communication will help them while they play. It won’t really matter if they win the game, at least they will be improving.

The next game is Friday in Grand Junction.
