The Englewood Pirate football team had a chance to show the hard work players have put in to get ready for the season. Englewood took on Littleton High school in a scrimmage Friday. EHS dominated the matchup 21-7. The game took place on home turf.

Those in the stands said from what they saw on the field, it looks to be a good season. “They were in control from beginning to end. Even when they had a couple errors on offense, they still were in control during the game,” Thomas O’Connor (12) said.

Players said it was intense, “When I ran the ball, it was pretty easy to maneuver around the other team. I felt like our team was better prepared and more focused,” Ikaika Gonzales (12) said.

Players are gearing up for the first official game August 31 at 7 pm at Pirate Stadium
