Down in the FAB lab, an intense competition is underway. The students are fighting, chasing each other, and using nails and any other weapon that will help them win this battle.
It’s not students going at it, it is their robots! The balloon popping competition is the final day of what has been a month of robot design and building. The robots are equipped with weapons and balloons. The goal is to pop the other guys balloons before all of yours are gone. You also are hoping that your robot doesn’t fall apart.
Mr. Trujillo says the students also get extra credit for winning the battle.
These students are a few of the thousands across the country who learn to put together a robot. Check out this article about the largest robotics competition for high school students that took place just a few weeks ago!
