Love the article! I remember Mr. McIver well. And, in the courtyard picture from the 1964 Log, I’m the senior in the white shirt (hands in pockets) near the bottom, right side of the photo. Robert Hewitt C/O 1964

Hi Mr. McIver! Peggy Mahoney here (class of 1983). I remember you’d cheerfulness and patience as I tried to hang onto that slippery frog as It pinned it down. I studied biology and chemistry at Metro and remembered that every time I started cutting into some poor critter I was dissecting. Fond memories of my science classes with you at EHS! Best wishes!

When I started at EHS in 1981, Paul and I had hall duty together. He was a very funny man and had great observations about life. We roamed the halls and looked for kids ditching class. I always enjoyed our conversations throughout the years. He told me many R rated stories about his years in the navy.

Mr. McKiver, you were the best! Even though I didn’t get great grades in your class, I learned so much. I’m about to retire from teaching high school and I truly think of you as one of my inspirations. Many happy returns!
