Englewood sends graduates into the future

Hundreds celebrate milestone

On a beautiful Saturday in May, hundreds of students sat in cap and gowns listening to their principal speak of their varied futures. This is the Class of 2016. They are scientists, journalists, theorists, and mathematicians. Some spent most of their time in the band room, choir room or the FAB lab. They leave Englewood High school with skills they didn’t know they needed or wanted just four years ago.

They leave Englewood High school with skills they didn’t know they needed or wanted just four years ago. Some didn’t know they would excel in the theater. Some had no idea they could use a laser engraver. These are the skills they learned and will take with them. That may be college, a tech school or straight into industry or business. EHS challenged them to be better, stronger, smarter and resourceful. But most importantly, EHS and its teachers taught them to be thinkers.

Good luck to all the 2016 grads! We are rooting for you in all you dare to attempt in life!
