While the number of markers seems high, Englewood police officer Shaw Gifford says the crime rate is going in a positive direction because people are taking more precautions, "a lot of people, who would be burglars want easy money just go in and grab the easiest thing they can. But now with cameras everywhere, they have to actually pay attention, make a plan. It makes it much more difficult. We have flock cameras that can see everything."

It’s Fall! Here is what you need to know
Cole is hoping her hard work pays off with money for college. “I’m a finalist for Daniel’s Fund Scholarship, that’s a full ride.” It means her education will be paid for in full. Cole has faced and understands the challenges of balancing studies with sports. “I use my off blocks and any free time that we have in class to make sure I’m caught up on all my work.”

My name is Ophelia Durgin, and I am currently in my 12th grade year at EHS. I don’t know what is up with there being 2 of me, but this is the current one that keeps getting updated and not the one from my freshman year.

On my off time when I have nothing better to do, I do creative writing or art, the easy stuff that involves the creative arts since I don’t consider myself someone who likes athletics or much after school activities. It’s much more fun to stay inside and get absorbed into a fictional world I or someone else have made, bringing along friends and family as well. I love Journalism and hope to one day have it as a career at least at some point in my adult life, that or maybe even psychology.
